On May 31, 2024, the Gala of the Albanian ICT Awards unveils the big technology awards for the 12th year in a row

Following the footsteps of Albanian innovators, the largest nationwide event on technology and innovation, the Albanian ICT Awards, closes its 12th edition on May 31, 2024 at Gala Evening, witnessing the announcement of the winners in the six categories of this competition.

A major event of some of the most prestigious technology awards throughout the Albanian-speaking countries, from Albania to Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and the Diaspora, the Gala Evening, which is organized at Plaza Hotel in Tirana, brings together the lively and courageous community with exclusive guests from the country and the region, business angels, donors, and distinguished entrepreneurs.

This event will be joined by dignitaries from the central and local government, diplomatic corps, the academic world, the business world, the media and the entire technology community in Albania, Kosovo and North Macedonia.

19 candidates will compete the 6 grand awards of the 12th edition of the ICT Awards, ICT Innovation of the Year, ICT Startup of the Year, ICT Diploma of the Year, ICT Rising Star up to 16, ICT Rising Star 16 – 21 years old and Cyber Security, while this big night has been full of surprises over the years.

Albanian ICT Awards invites you to become part of this unique event by purchasing a ticket of participation on Eventbrite or the Pago application, which you get with a 20 percent discount, and at the same time become an indirect contributor to the largest Albanian innovation event. The revenue generated from this campaign will be converted into prizes for the finalists in each of the categories.

Two types of tickets will be available, Participant – which goes to individuals who want to be part of the event for networking and motivation – and Supporter – business groups who want to have their presence at the Gala Evening.

Founded 12 years ago, this edition is organized by the ICTSmedia publishing house and the ALBICT Nationwide Technology Association with the support of distinguished partners of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development through the Star Venture Program financed by the EU Enterprise Development Innovation Facility(EDIF) and Luxembourg, EU for Innovation and UNICEF. Today, in the eyes of an ecosystem, the Albanian ICT Awards are considered a true barometer of the innovative and creative potential of young people, students, innovators, entrepreneurs, professionals, and businesses throughout the Albanian-speaking countries.

The 12th edition opened its doors on Thursday 29 February 2024 among over 100 guests and participants from the world of academia, business, public administration, entrepreneurship, innovation, and the technology community. Applications were welcomed in 7 different categories until March 31, 2024, and more than 25 informative sessions were held near schools, universities, centers and innovation spaces from Tirana to Pristina, Skopje, Tetovo, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Vushtrri, Preshevo and Bujanoc.

Until application deadline, 108 projects arrived from 130 different candidates who demonstrated in front of the jury of the Albanian ICT Awards in Pristina and Tirana on April 26 and 27, 2024 respectively.
