2012 Albanian ICT Awards open its doors
On Friday, February 15th, the first Albanian Awards on Information and Communication Technology, on individual achievement and innovation, was officially launched. Professionals, who have successfully completed a project on ICT during the year 2012, have the opportunity to expose their creativity through the “2012 Albanian ICT Awards” contest. A jury, composed by elite individuals of the ICT world will assess and appraise the candidates.
The first workshop, organized at “Protik” Innovation Center, comprised a detailed description of the Albanian ICT Awards event as well as a brief description of the ICTS Media, the event organizing company, licensed by International Data Group (IDG) and, at the same time, a regional leader of technology media.
Representatives of ICTS Media said that the “Albanian ICT Awards” prices are the symbol of gratitude and appreciation for the creative work of individuals and teams who have managed to impact on the development of innovative ideas, professionalism of several business sectors, development of technology education system curricula, built of creative strategies, by developers, programmers, software architects on mobile, web, desktop, online services etc.
Edlira Kasaj and Vjollca Dako, managers and representatives of “Protik” Innovation Center and “Dritan Hoxha” Foundation, supporting and partner institutions since the beginning of the project, appreciated the event for the novelty it brings on ICT Albanian industry. The Director of “Vodafone Albania” Foundation, Albi Greva, highlighted the analogy with the program “World of Difference”, in the aspect of promoting innovations and new ideas with social impact, as well as promised his support on this initiative.
